Ford Button was born in the Westboro area of Pennsylvania on June 22, 1924. From sixth grade until his graduation from Mansfield University, he lived in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. Button was known for his panel cartoons, but he best known for his work on educational issues. His cartoons have been used in publications such as Good Housekeeping, the National Enquirer, National Lampoons and Star.
